Tranforming what I see, expressing my mood, my love of nature, following my curiosity and joy of experimenting, going with the flow of fantasy. Capturing my travel memories in paintings in particular from my original home country Iceland. All this drives me to paint.
Growing up in Iceland and having wonderful art teachers as mentors has had a life long influence on my passion to paint.
But we all depart on different journeys and mine led me first to university studies, a master and PhD in biochemistry and a very fulfilling career in research. Later painting became more and more a focus in my life and was intensified in master classes both in Vienna, Austria and in Trier, Germany
The common denominator between science and my art is that I love to experiment, different media, themes, paper, canvas sizes etc.  I love the challenge to tacle new methods and motives. A constant inspiration comes from the bizarre and beautiful nature and landscape in Iceland.
